The Race is a Celebration

The Race Is a Celebration

Most people see race day as the ultimate test.

We see it a little differently.. Sure, it is a test…it is a way to measure yourself, it is a way for a pofessional athlete to get paid or an age group athlete to measure him or herself against their competitors. But, in the end… it is just a snapshot in time and does not always indicate where you are at and definitely does not show your value. In the end, we see it as something so much more-

Race day is a celebration.

Celebrate the Work

The work already happened.

The early mornings. The long rides. The quiet runs. The pool sessions. The days you showed up when it would have been easier not to.

Race day is your chance to honor all of it.

Celebrate the Journey. Celebrate the Story.

Every athlete gets to the start line with a story.

Some builds go smoothly. Most do not.

Work, family, travel, injury, illness, doubt, fear, confidence, excitement—it all becomes part of the journey.

And that journey changes you.

You are not the same athlete who started.

Celebrate the People

Racing is better when it is shared.

Team events do not just happen. Someone has to care enough to bring people together.

A huge thank you to Nadia Soloj for helping organize team events around USAT Nationals and giving AP Racing athletes another chance to connect, support each other, and do cool stuff with cool people.

Celebrate Who You Became

The finish line matters.

But it is not the whole story.

The real win is the person you became while getting there.

More prepared. More resilient. More connected.

And hopefully- More confident.

Whatever happens on race day, the work has already changed you.

Go Race. Go Celebrate.

To all athletes and especially every AP Racing athlete racing USAT Nationals: congratulations.

You earned this.

Race hard. Race smart. Support each other. Enjoy the moment.

We are proud of you! #getsome
