WHY DO I WANT TO JOIN THE SQUAD?
It’s simple- you love triathlon, you want to do cool stuff with cool people, and you want all of the benefits of being on the AP Racing team- access to a nationwide athlete community, coaching education and resources, team races and challenges, local connections, team gear opportunities and exclusive partner benefits designed to support your training and racing.
WHO IS THE SQUAD?
The Squad is the AP Racing Team. It includes everyone from beginners to Pro Athletes. The Squad is made up of the AP Racing Elite Team(the crew), AP Racing Coached Athletes, and all athletes who apply and are accepted to the AP Racing Squad. Most importantly, the Squad is made up of people who love sport, love adventure and love to do cool stuff with cool people.
WHAT IS ‘THE CREW’?
The Crew is the elite team for AP Racing. It is made up of Pro’s, aspiring pro’s and elite amateurs. To help grow the sport and our community, we believe it is important to help every level of athlete. Check out more info about The Crew here.
WHY DID AP RACING CREATE THE SQUAD? AP Racing is all about building community, supporting athletes in their goals, and helping grow the sport of triathlon. For many years, the only way to get all of the AP Racing team benefits was to be a coached athlete, and we recognized some athletes want to be part of our team but are happy with their current coaching
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THE TEAM DOES?
We are family, and families do things together-
We host training camps and team events throughout the year. We have regional team workouts, race weekend events. We have a monthly team round table discussion with Andy, a partner or a guest pro athlete.
DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY LOCAL TEAM AFFILIATION?
We want our sport to grow, we want to build community and we want to be ALL-INCLUSIVE. So, we encourage you to be involved in your local community and with your local teams.
DO YOU HAVE TO BE FAST OR A PRO TO BE ON AP RACING, THE SQUAD?
Absolutely not. We are looking for great people who want to do cool stuff with cool people. We want people who love sport and want to ‘spread the stoke’ in celebrating sport and life

THE SQUAD
WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN THE SQUAD? Upon acceptance, there is a $199 team membership fee to join THE SQUAD. Your membership fee includes an AP Racing gear credit, partner specials, exclusive/discounted access to AP Racing events, and anything else we can put together from our partners.
$199- IS IT WORTH IT?
We know triathlon is expensive. That’s why we created the Squad- to make support, community, team experiences and money-saving partner benefits more accessible. Your annual gear credit and training and racing gear discounts alone can pay for the membership before you even blink.
