WHY DID YOU START THE CREW?
The Crew is AP Racing’s Elite Team. The Crew was formed in 2018 as I realized that our current AP Racing Team and Coaching services served about 98% of the market. So, I asked myself, what else can I do to help the sport and help elite amateurs and new pro’s.
WHAT IS THE CREW?
The Crew is the elite team for AP Racing. It is made up of Pro’s, aspiring pro’s and elite amateurs. To help grow the sport and our community, we believe it is important to help every level of athlete. It also now consists of athletes that want to be ambassadors for the team and help build the culture going forward.
HOW DO I FIND OUT IF I MADE THE CREW?
We will email on a rolling basis acceptance letters with final first round selections by October 20th. We will potentially have further round selections that are tbd based on interest and application quality.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO BE ON THE CREW
Upon acceptance, there is a $199 team membership fee to join THE CREW. You can receive your membership fee in additional gear credits via our Podium Project:
- Win an Ironman or Ironman 70.3 (Overall/Non-Pro)
- Host a local AP Racing Camp/Clinic
- Top 3 at IM or IM70.3 OA = $25 per race up to $150
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF BEING ON THE CREW?
The list is long but to give you an idea- Crew Athletes get gear credits and pro only pricing from our partners and team. Crew Athletes receive a gear credit for things like Crew only cycling and racing kits. Camps and training getaways are subsidized by AP Racing.
DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY LOCAL TEAM AFFILIATION?
We want our sport to grow, we want to build community and we want to be ALL-INCLUSIVE. So, we encourage you to be involved in your local community and with your local teams.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THE CREW DOES?
We host crew only training camps, small training getaways with Crew members, provide mentorship to the entire AP Racing team, and do whatever we can to help push potential with each other. We also have exclusive Crew only gear, partner benefits and events.

THE CREW
DO I HAVE TO BE FAST OR PRO TO BE ON THE CREW?
Yes and no. The Crew trains together regularly and we look for athletes of similar abilities so we can help to push each other’s potential. In addition, we support young pro’s to teach them the business side of being a professional. But, if you want to get more involved on the ambassador side of building the team and don’t mind being dropped every once in a while, we got a spot for you- #maybe
