HOW IT WORKS
FROM REGISTRATION TO CAMP.
1
A TYPICAL DAY
A FRAMEWORK, NOT A FORMULA
Most days we will wake up, fuel, put our bags in the SAG wagon and then throw one leg over the top tube and ride until we reach out next destination. Then an evening group dinner(optional) and get ready to do it all again.

TRAVEL & LOGISTICS
AIRPORTS
We will provide options for airport transfers from Charlottesville at the beginning of camp and Asheville at the end of camp.
TRAVEL WINDOWS
Please aim to arrive before 4pm on the day prior to our first ride day. That will give us enough time to build bikes, do ride briefs and put things in order for the first day.
EQUIPMENT
We will send out a recommended packing list with equipment needs. We recommend signing up for our enhanced bike services during registration for packing, unpacking and daily tuning services.
EXTRA NIGHTS
Purchase early-arrival or late-departure lodging during registration if needed.

QUESTIONS? STARTE HERE.
-
You need to be self-sufficient on the road. You need to be comfortable riding in groups and ridiing alone. You need to be able to ride at a minimum of 1.7 W/KG to be able to complete each day. You need to be able to ride 100+ mile days consecutively. Yes, this is meant to scare you- this is real and we can not drive people around NC & VA for 7 days.
-
Yes. This Camp is open to athletes outside AP Racing. My guess is you will be coached by us by the time this adventure is over :)
-
The price is per athlete and includes one bed in a shared room. Roommate requests are accepted but cannot be guaranteed.
-
It means you will have your own room with your own bed. You might share common spaces like a bathroom or living room but you will be sleeping solo.
-
Coaches may modify sessions, routes and timing based on weather, safety, venue access and athlete readiness. It is why we keep our plans built but flexible.
-

During the registration process but we can not guarantee all roommate requests. Sorry, it can’t be Andy :)

When we are housing at an Olympic Training Center such as Chula Vista or COS, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all have a variety of options. At other locations, breakfast will typically be arranged and you can expect a normal hotel breakfast buffet. Beyond that, I would plan accordingly based on your dietary needs.
-
We arranged most hotels with free breakfast buffet options or restaurant style options at the hotel or nearby. These are small places and small towns, so we are limited but there are options and we will guide you every day. Lunch- mostly liquid calories on the road or you can drop food into a cooler for our SAG to transport. We can’t guarantee when you will see it but it’ll be there. There are places to stop on the parkway from time to time and each night we will lay that all out in our ride brief. Dinner: At our lodging(you will not want to leave) or a few fun places we have picked out over the years that are great for post ride food and entertainment.
-
Plane, train & automobile- up to you. We will offer airport shuttle services at select camps. We will begin to arrange that about 3 months out from the camp start date. In addition, we will try to encourage athletes to coordinate transportation via a group chat.
-
If we offered camp jerseys and you registered before we closed the camp store and you ordered a camp jersey or arranged directly with one of our staff, then you will receive one. If those things did not happen, you will not.
