WHY DO I WANT TO JOIN THE SQUAD?
It’s simple- you love triathlon, you want to do cool stuff with cool people, and you want all of the benefits of being on the AP Racing team (partner discounts, killer gear, monthly round tables with Andy and other pro athletes, workouts in key regions, events, race weekend camaraderie/events, priority access to training camps, and much more) without receiving the AMAZING coaching that AP Racing provides.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THE TEAM DOES?
We are family, and families do things together-
We host training camps and team events throughout the year. We have regional team workouts. We have race weekend events and support teams. We have a monthly team round table discussion with Andy or a guest pro athlete. We host quarterly team virtual challenges.
DO I HAVE TO APPLY IF I AM A COACHED AP RACING ATHLETE? WHAT IF I WANT TO BE PART OF THE CREW?
If you are an AP Racing Coached Athlete, you are automatically enrolled in THE SQUAD.
If you would like consideration for the AP RACING ELITE TEAM, THE CREW, then you can use this joint application to apply for both.
HOW DO I FIND OUT IF I MADE THE SQUAD?
Athletes will be notified via email the last week of October.
WHO IS THE SQUAD?
The Squad is the AP Racing Team. It includes everyone from beginners to Pro Athletes. The Squad is made up of the AP Racing Elite Team(the crew), AP Racing Coached Athletes, and all athletes who apply and are accepted to the AP Racing Squad. Most importantly, the Squad is made up of people who love sport, love adventure and love to do cool stuff with cool people...
DO YOU HAVE TO BE FAST OR A PRO TO BE ON AP RACING, THE SQUAD?
Absolutely not. We are looking for great people who want to do cool stuff with cool people. We want people who love sport and want to ‘spread the stoke’ in celebrating sport and life
WHAT IS ‘THE CREW’?
The Crew is the elite team for AP Racing. It is made up of Pro’s, aspiring pro’s and elite amateurs. To help grow the sport and our community, we believe it is important to help every level of athlete. Check out more info about The Crew here.
DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY LOCAL TEAM AFFILIATION?
We want our sport to grow, we want to build community and we want to be ALL-INCLUSIVE. So, we encourage you to be involved in your local community and with your local teams.
WHY DID AP RACING CREATE THE SQUAD? AP Racing is all about building community, supporting athletes in their goals, and helping grow the sport of triathlon. For many years, the only way to get all of the AP Racing team benefits was to be a coached athlete, and we recognized some athletes want to be part of our team but are happy with their current coaching
WHO ARE THE PARTNERS AND WHAT ARE SOME OF THE PARTNER BENEFITS OF THE SQUAD?
As we nail down our current year partners, check out some of our previous benefits and partners. As a Squad Member, you will receive a gear credit for a race jersey, partner discounts up to 50% off, SWAG BAG and priority access to AP Racing Camps + Clinics. One of our motivations for this team is provide ACCESS. Our members save anywhere from $1k - $10k per year by being a part of our team or coaching programs.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN THE SQUAD? Upon acceptance, there is a $189 team membership fee to join THE SQUAD. Your membership fee includes a free AP Racing Race Jersey, Swag bag and much more.
ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS FROM ATHLETES?
Be a good person and act with integrity.
Race in the AP Racing Team Kit.
Be respectful of all athletes, officials, and people.
Help promote the sport of triathlon in your local community..
